An intentional space for the quiet, introverted Black woman
Quiet Flame is an extension of my practice, Soft Gather. Quiet Flame, a Soft Gather offering is an intimate gathering in my art studio for quiet, introverted Black women and gender-expansive individuals seeking to explore their quiet power as an affirmation, connection, and creativity in a comfortable, creative space.
The first gathering, held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, had a waitlist of 10 and brought together five individuals seeking creativity and community in a safe space where they could be themselves comfortably.
Connection and simple presence are prioritized. The purpose of these gatherings is to be present as yourself, but in community. Come as you are; there's no need to perform here ✨ In this open studio format, participants are invited to choose a fiber-based art activity (supplies included), or just be present for conversation, relax in a cozy chair, bring a journal, a craft project, or read a book. There will be a collaborative artwork participants are welcome to contribute to at each gathering. Light refreshments are provided, cozy seating surrounded by vibrant colors and textures, and access to a variety of supplies.
